ABOUT DOTTIE RANDALL

DOTTIE RANDALL is currently chorus master for Opera San Antonio in her hometown. A former music educator, she taught elementary music and directed both middle school and high school choruses. As a pianist, she has been on the music staff of San Diego Opera, Chautauqua Opera, New Orleans Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, Austin Opera, Opera Pacific, San Antonio Opera, and Orlando Opera. European experience includes two years as assistant conductor at the Arena di Verona in Italy, and six seasons with the American Institute of Musical Studies (AIMS) in Graz, Austria. In addition, she has prepared singers, both soloists and ensembles, for the San Antonio Symphony, University of Texas at Austin, UTSA, Ohio State University, and Southern Methodist University. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Ohio Wesleyan
University. Dottie currently maintains a private vocal coaching studio in San Antonio, and is active as a guest teacher and clinician.
